Ferium 1gm Injection

Active Substance: Ferric carboxymaltose

Therapeutic Class: Hematopoietic agents

Pharmacological Class: Iron replacement products

Uses:

  • Treatment of iron-deficiency anemia in adults and pediatric patients who cannot tolerate oral iron or when oral iron supplements are ineffective.
  • Treatment of iron deficiency anemia in adults with chronic kidney disease who are not on dialysis.

Important Information:

  • Do not take if allergic to ferric carboxymaltose or any other ingredients.
  • Not recommended for pediatric patients less than one year of age.
  • Inform your physician if you have rheumatoid arthritis, severe asthma, eczema, infection, liver disorders, or low phosphate levels in the blood.
  • Do not store above 30°C, do not freeze, protect from light and moisture, keep out of reach of children and pets.

Administration:

  • Administered intravenously in a hospital or clinic setting.
