Uses of Taxim O Cv 200mg Tablet
  • Treatment of bacterial infection.
  • Therapeutic Effects of Taxim O Cv 200mg Tablet

Cefixime acts by blocking the synthesis of bacteria cell walls, which is essential for survival. It kills susceptible bacteria and stops the spread of diseases.

Potassium clavulanate is a beta-lactamase inhibitor (enzyme) that is produced by some bacteria that can inactivate and destroy certain antibiotics, including cephalosporins.

Combining cefixime with potassium clavulanate inhibits the activity of beta-lactamase enzymes produced by bacteria, preventing them from breaking down cefixime. This allows Taxim O CV 200mg to remain active and exert its antimicrobial effect against susceptible bacteria.
