Uses:

• Adjuvant colon cancer
• Metastatic colorectal cancer

Mechanism of action:

• Stops the growth of cancer cells by inhibiting DNA synthesis
• Gets converted into its active form called fluorouracil
• Interferes with cell signaling, preventing the multiplication of cancer cells
