Uses:
- To reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization in adults with heart failure.
Active substances:
- Sacubitril
- Valsartan
Therapeutic effects:
- Sacubitril inhibits neprilysin, increasing levels of peptides (such as natriuretic peptides) to help control blood volume.
- Valsartan blocks the AT1 receptor and inhibits angiotensin-II-dependent aldosterone release, allowing blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
Important information:
- Do not take if you are allergic to Sacubitril, Valsartan, or any other ingredients.
- Do not take if you have had a reaction called angioedema (swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and throat, and difficulties in breathing).
- Do not take if you have diabetes or impaired kidney function and are being treated with a blood pressure-lowering medicine containing Aliskiren.
- Do not take if you have severe liver disease, are pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Before taking:
