Active ingredient: Ursodeoxycholic acid
Therapeutic class: Hepatoprotective agents
Indications:
- Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC);
- Cystic fibrosis (liver disease in children aged between 6 to 18 years);
- Gallstone (not visible on plain X-ray).
Mechanism of action:
- Reduces the production of cholesterol in the liver;
- Increases the secretion of bile;
- Helps dissolve and prevent the formation of gallstones;
- Improves liver function in certain conditions.
Contraindications:
