Uses:

• Treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF).

Therapeutic Effects:

• Reduces the production and accumulation of extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins, which contribute to the fibrosis and stiffening of lung tissue.
• Slows the progression of the disease and improves lung function.

Active Ingredient:

• Pirfenidone.

Important Information:

• Do not use if you have severe liver disorders or kidney disorders.
• Do not use if you are taking fluvoxamine (which treats depression and obsessive-compulsive disorder).
• Do not use if you are allergic to any of the ingredients of this medicine.
• Do not drink grapefruit juice while taking this medicine.

• Serious: severe allergic reactions (swelling of face, lips, or tongue, wheezing, feeling faint), liver problems (yellowing of skin or eyes, dark urine, bruising, or bleeding).
• Common: nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite, tiredness, diarrhea, indigestion, headache, dizziness, skin reactions after exposure to sunlight, infections, weight loss, difficulty sleeping, changes in taste, cough, stomach pain, constipation, feeling bloated, heartburn, itchy, dry skin, muscle pain, joint pain, chest pain, shortness of breath.

Dosage:
