Cardivas 6.25mg Tablet contains the active ingredient carvedilol. It belongs to the class of anti-hypertensive medications called beta blockers. It is indicated to treat hypertension, angina pectoris (chest pain), and heart failure. Hypertension refers to increased blood pressure in arteries (>140/90), and heart failure is a chronic medical condition when the heart is unable to pump blood efficiently. Angina pectoris refers to chest pain that occurs when the heart muscle (myocardium) does not receive enough blood and oxygen for functioning.
