Uses:
- To reduce the risk of cardiovascular death and hospitalization in adults with heart failure.
Active substances:
- Sacubitril
- Valsartan
Mechanism of action:
- Sacubitril inhibits neprilysin, increasing levels of peptides (such as natriuretic peptides) and helping to control blood volume.
- Valsartan blocks the AT1 receptor and inhibits angiotensin-II-dependent aldosterone release, allowing blood to flow more smoothly and the heart to pump more efficiently.
Contraindications:
- Do not take if you are allergic to Sacubitril, Valsartan, or any other ingredients.
