Menodac 75IU Injection
Description:
- Contains the active substance Menotrophin.
- Belongs to the group of medications called gonadotropins.
- A highly purified mixture of follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH) and luteinizing hormone (LH).
Uses:
- Treatment of infertility in women who are not ovulating, including those with polycystic ovarian disease (PCOD) and who have not responded to treatment with clomiphene citrate.
- Promoting fertility in women undergoing IVF (in-vitro fertilization) or other types of assisted conception.
- Treatment of infertility in men due to low sperm count.
Contraindications:
- Do not take if you are allergic to menotrophin or any of the other ingredients.
- Do not take if you have a tumor in the pituitary gland, hypothalamus, uterus, ovaries, breast, testicles, or prostate gland.
- Do not take if you have ovarian cysts that are not due to PCOD, vaginal bleeding, early menopause, physical problems in the reproductive organs, or if your womb has been removed.
- Do not take if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
Before initiating treatment:
- Check for underactive thyroid problems, hormone levels, and tumors of the pituitary and hypothalamus.
