Kynteles 300mg Injection

Uses:

  • Treatment of moderate to severe ulcerative colitis (inflammation of the large bowel).
  • Treatment of Crohn's disease (inflammation affecting the digestive system).
  • Treatment of chronic pouchitis (inflammation of the lining of a pouch created during surgery to treat ulcerative colitis).

Mechanism of Action:

  • Inhibits the activity of a protein on the surfaces of white blood cells, which is responsible for inflammation.
  • Decreases the amount of inflammation associated with ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, and pouchitis.

Important Information:

  • Not for use in individuals under 18 years of age.
  • Contraindicated in individuals with allergies to vedolizumab or its components.
  • Inform your doctor if you have an active severe infection, such as tuberculosis (TB), blood poisoning, severe diarrhoea and vomiting (gastroenteritis), or nervous system infection.
  • Do not take with other biological medicines that suppress the immune system, such as natalizumab or rituximab.
