Active substance: Tofacitinib.
Therapeutic class: Disease-modifying anti-rheumatoid drug (DMARDs), immunomodulators.
Pharmacological class: Janus Kinase Inhibitors.
Indications:
- Rheumatoid arthritis (a condition in which the body attacks its joints, causing pain, swelling, and loss of function).
- Psoriatic arthritis (a condition that causes joint pain and swelling, and scales on the skin).
- Ankylosing spondylitis (inflammatory disease of the spine).
- Ulcerative colitis (treatment of adult patients with moderately to severely active ulcerative colitis).

- Juvenile psoriatic arthritis.
Mechanism of action: Decreases the activity of the immune system by inhibiting Janus kinases and interfering with the transcription of genes involved in cell growth and differentiation.
Contraindications:
- Do not take if you are allergic to tofacitinib or any other ingredients of this medicine.
- Inform your healthcare professional if you have any symptoms of an infection, such as fever, sweating, chills, muscle aches, cough, shortness of breath, weight loss, skin sores, difficulty or pain when swallowing, diarrhea, or stomach pain.
- Before initiating the treatment, inform your physician if you have kidney, heart, lung, or liver problems, a history of tuberculosis, high blood pressure, or high cholesterol, and also if you are a current or past smoker.

Storage: Store tofacitinib at room temperature (20°C to 25°C). Keep the tablet away from the reach of children and pets.
