Eligard 7.5mg Injection

Uses:

  • Prostate cancer.
  • Hormone-responsive breast cancer in perimenopausal women.
  • Endometriosis (a painful illness in which the tissue that normally lines the inside of the uterus grows outside of your uterus).
  • Central precocious puberty (a child’s body begins to change into an adult too soon caused by a release of certain hormones).

Active ingredient: Leuprolide acetate.

Therapeutic class: Antineoplastics.

Pharmacological class: Gonadotropin-Releasing Hormone (GnRH) agonists.

Important information:

  • Do not use Eligard 7.5mg if you are allergic to its ingredients, including Goserelin and Triptorlin.
  • Inform your physician if you have liver or kidney impairment.
  • Do not take this treatment if you are pregnant or planning to get pregnant.
  • During the treatment, the existing symptoms may worsen due to the sex steroid increase in the body.
  • Report to your doctor if your child has a progressive brain tumour.
  • Before starting the treatment, notify your doctor about your underlying medical conditions, such as diabetes, seizures, heart problems with chest pain, irregular heartbeats, depression, or osteoporosis.

Interaction with other drugs:

  • Certain medications such as Quinidine, Procainamide, Amiodarone, Sotalol, painkillers, and antibiotics may interact with the effects of Eligard 7.5mg and reduce its effectiveness by causing undesirable side effects.

Storage:

  • Keep Eligard 7.5mg out of sight and reach of children.
  • Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct heat and light.
  • Store below 25 °C.
  • Do not refrigerate or freeze.
