Uses:

• Adjuvant colon cancer
• Metastatic colorectal cancer

Mechanism of action:

• Inhibits DNA synthesis
• Stops the growth of cancer cells
• Gets converted into its active form called fluorouracil and interferes with cell signaling, preventing the multiplication of cancer cells
