Active substance: Pazopanib

Class: Tyrosine kinase inhibitor (antineoplastic drug)

Uses:

• Advanced renal cell carcinoma
• Advanced soft tissue sarcoma

Mechanism of action:

• Pazopanib interferes with the growth of blood vessels inside cancer cells by acting against a protein called Vascular Endothelial Growth Factors (VEGF).
• This helps to shrink cancer cells, stopping their growth and multiplication.
