Samflav 1000mg Tablet

Samflav 1000mg tablet contains active components such as micronized purified flavonoid fragment rustaceae. It is a medication for chronic venous insufficiency (CVI) and related conditions. CVI is a condition where the veins in the legs, particularly the lower limbs, have difficulty returning blood to the heart efficiently. It may alleviate symptoms associated with varicose veins, swollen and twisted veins often occurring in the legs. It can help reduce swelling and discomfort. It is sometimes used to manage hemorrhoids, which are swollen blood vessels in the rectum or anus that can cause pain, bleeding, and discomfort. It  can be prescribed to reduce edema, particularly in cases where edema is related to venous insufficiency or other circulatory problems. While not a primary treatment for lymphedema, it may be considered as part of a comprehensive approach to managing symptoms and improving circulation in cases where lymphedema is secondary to venous insufficiency. 

Individuals who have a known hypersensitivity or allergy to micronized purified flavonoid fraction rutaceae or any of its components should not use this medication. It is not a treatment for acute DVT (deep vein thrombosis) or PE (pulmonary embolism). In individuals with severe renal impairment (kidney dysfunction), the clearance of medications from the body may be impaired, and the use of this medication may need to be adjusted or avoided in such cases, as there may be concerns about drug accumulation. Samflav 1000mg tablet is typically not indicated for use in children, and its safety and efficacy in pediatric populations may not be well-established. It is primarily used in adults.
