Neugard Capsule

Neugard capsule contains active components such as beta-1,3/1,6-D-glucan. Beta-glucans are often taken to support the immune system. Some studies suggest that they may help enhance the body's defense mechanisms against infections and diseases. It has been studied for its potential to modulate the immune response and reduce allergic reactions in some individuals. Some people take this medication to reduce the risk of respiratory infections, such as the common cold and flu. It has been investigated for its potential to enhance wound healing by promoting tissue repair and reducing inflammation.

If you are allergic to beta-1,3/1,6-D-glucan, you should avoid it. Individuals with autoimmune diseases, such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, or lupus, should exercise caution when using beta-glucan supplements.  If you are taking prescription blood-thinning medications like warfarin or have a bleeding disorder, consult with a healthcare professional before using this medication  to avoid potential interactions.  It is advisable to discontinue beta-glucan supplements at least two weeks before the surgery. Beta-glucan supplements are generally considered safe for older adults. However, older adults may have different health concerns and medication regimens. The safety and efficacy of neugard capsule in children are not well-established. Consult with a pediatrician before giving these supplements to children.
