Uses:

• Treats hormone receptor (HR)-positive, human epidermal growth receptor 2 (HER2)-negative breast cancer in postmenopausal women.

Active substance:

• Fulvestrant.

Class:

• Antineoplastic drug, estrogen receptor antagonist.

Mechanism of action:

• Binds to estrogen receptors in cancer cells and blocks the action of estrogen, slowing or stopping tumor cell growth.
